Cassie is the sweetest girl in spite of the life she’s led so far. She found herself surrendered to a shelter in Texas in terrible shape when her owners said they were moving and they couldn’t take her with them. When rescued by NorthStar, she had quite a list of things wrong with her – she is heartworm positive, had conjunctivitis, a mass on a hind leg, alopecia, periodontal disease and a chronic skin condition. With proper vet care, and the amazing TLC of her foster mom, Cassie is making great progress! Now she just needs to find her a wonderful, loving home where she will continue to know love, care and security for the rest of her days.

Cassie is an 11-year-old Labrador mix who currently weighs only 28.5 pounds. Our sweet girl is super friendly! She loves men, women, children and other dogs. She is a really special gal who will be headed to NJ to find that special someone to start her new life with!
