We are super excited for #boontonday on Sunday but We are super excited for #boontonday on Sunday but we are hearing that the weather forecast is not in our favor. ⛈️ #BoontonDay is hosted by our friends at @boontonrec & they plan to make a decision midday on Saturday so please pay attention to our social media for an update. Our Annual #super5050 drawing will still take place this Sunday at 4pm regardless, so stay tuned for those details too! We are currently at over $28K to winner…& still growing! 🤗🥳
Some may say he’s a short little meatball but… Some may say he’s a short little meatball but…he’s actually… a RAVIOLI! Ravioli is 2-3 years old & he is a compact boy weighing in at about 25 pounds. He’s very high energy, he loves to go go go and he’s ready to go go go to a furever home! #OptToAdopt Ravioli!!
🐾 #adopted! FUREVER SQUAD 💗 SIERRA ADOPTED! 🐾 #adopted! FUREVER SQUAD 💗 SIERRA ADOPTED! 💫 When Sierra was found, it was suspected that she had been hit by a car. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was unable to walk due to an injury to her front left leg. The shelter staff thinks that she may have had some head trauma from the accident too but thankfully, she fully recovered from that. Her front left leg was another story to tell. It was severely injured. So, there she was at the shelter in lots of pain, hoping for her savior to come. And…they (we) did! It just so happens that 3 NorthStar board members were on one of their annual trips from NJ to visit the TX shelters. Sierra saw them coming too, she quickly made sure that her eyes said “Pick me! pick me!” and guess what?! It worked! We did and she got her freedom ride from the shelter right to her super comfy n’ pawesome foster home. Her foster mom (thank you Eva!) then took her to the vet to get all checked out. Everything looked great, except for that pesky injured leg of hers. The vet recommended amputation so we took her to see a specialist and they agreed so Sierra had surgery on April 21st. With the help of her foster mom, Sierra recovered nicely and then set out to her next foster home in NJ. Her new foster pawrents (thank you MB & Lou!) jumped right in, ready to continue right where Eva left off. Sierra gained strength and matured a bit while in their loving care and is now quite the active n’ playful tripawd, ready for a home of her own. Great news, an old coworker spotted Sierra on her foster mom’s social media and fell in love. Tonight was the big night, this squad is now her furever fam! 🥳 Happy ‘tails’ Sierra, we love you! 💞 #NorthStarHappyTails #NSPR #NorthStarPetRescue
🐾 #adopted! HomeSweetHome 🌿 Vera’s PARSLE 🐾 #adopted! HomeSweetHome 🌿 Vera’s PARSLEY ADOPTED! Parsley (on left) was surrendered to a rescuer in Texas by a breeder along with 9 other small dogs. Parsley settled in at her fab foster home (thank you Hayley!) & proved to be a sweet n’ spunky, active lil gal. Ready for a home of her own, Parsley arrived to New Jersey ISO furever love. Great news, she has already found it! Happy ‘tails’ Parsley, we love you! 💗 #NorthStarHappyTails #NorthStarPetRescue #NSPR
